We are building on last years anugral Vancouver Black independent film festival(VBIFF), this year showcased filmmakers, musicians, and their multimedia projects along with local BIPOC artisan ART (Art Soul Methods)  of market vendors; uplifting our talents in the community and abroad. >>VBIFF2023

Festival Order

01 Art & Soul Method

Art & Soul Method bringing to you market vendors who are artist and business owners from the Black and BIPOC community. Kickstarting recognition of a new and emerging Black and BIPOC artist community.

02 films

The festival features a wide range of unique films this year that focus on the African and its diaspora life in Canada and beyond with films that runs from 1 min to approx 3hr. in length. This year theme is parody on North America's long weekend phrase “Black Friday” or as we call it 'The Reel Black Friday" Over 50 films were displayed at the festival

03 Q & A session

We were privileged enough to have some of the film makers present at the festival. This created an opportunity for the crowd to engage with the film makers and ask question about the films and the inspiration.

04 Live Music

-We have our live DJ set presented by Lieutenant Irie - Our resident artists come together for a Jam Session. Jazz music meet Afro-contemporary sound
