Feven Kidane is an Ethio-Canadian trumpet player versed in the tradition of Black American Music (“jazz”). Inspired by the great straight-ahead and post-bop players of the 60s to late 70s, she brings a communicative voice to the horn that weaves decolonial stories. She has performed at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, and can be seen performing regularly across Vancouver. In this quartet, Feven is joined by Harmeet Kaur Virdee on bass, Noah Franche-Nolan on piano, and Todd Stewart on drums. https://instagram.com/thehabeshaman
